Robertson Nature Reserve
The Robertson Nature Reserve is a small remnant patch of cool temperate rainforest, right in the heart of Robertson village (just across the railway line, on South Street), which covers an area of 5.3 hectares. It was protected by being classified as a Nature Reserve in January 1979. Robertson Environment Protection Society (REPS) has produced a special website, called a “Guide to the Yarrawa Brush”. It is an introduction to the special plants of this area. You can search the website by botanical names, common names, or simply browse through the website. A new edition of this guide is being published in 2020/21.
The Robertson Nature Reserve is famous amongst Fungi experts for the enormous range of species of Fungi found there. It is the subject of special study by members of the Sydney Fungal Studies Group.
